Thomas Bolt started his career as a developer for test bench software. After more than 4 years he started learning the brand-new Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0 Beta 1 in a freelancing engagement. During the next year he worked in an internet-payment project as an architect and the lead-developer.
In the middle of 2002 Thomas Bolt took over the leadership of the development department of the company isonet ag, which is known as a developer for service desk software. In this position he had to lead a mid-sized development-team in the product development of the completely new designed core product of his employer - the ITIL based service desk ticketing system TicketXPert.NET Enterprise Edition.
As the lead architect and CTO of isonet ag Thomas Bolt was also responsible for the consulting of customers in large service desk projects in different branches like commerce, industry, financial serivce providers, defense industry und transportation.
During his time at isonet ag Thomas Bolt did an avocational education in IT-economics at the Wirtschaftsinformatiker Schule Schweiz (WISS).
At the beginning of 2005 Thomas Bolt changed to the callcenter corporation Cyberline AG / the BEE company as IT Manager. He reorganized the whole IT department of the enterprise and established an enterprise datawarehouse project. He revolutionized the whole internal and external reporting process of the company implementing different Business Intelligence technologies from Microsoft like Reporting Services and SQL Server 2005 with Analysis Services.
Due to the distance to technology in his managing role, he changed to the joint venture Avanade between Accenture and Microsoft as a business intelligence consultant, where he did different BI projects for large enterprises.
Caused by problems with his health Thomas Bolt changed to the more locally operating Trivadis AG, where he now is senior consultant and lead architect for Microsoft Business Intelligence Technologies. As a Microsoft Certified Trainer he is also responsible for the Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services Trainings in Switzerland.
